About this chord
The power chord (5th chord) reduces harmony to root and fifth, with no third. This neutrality combined with electric amplifier saturation is the secret weapon of rock and metal. Usually played on 2 or 3 strings with one finger, it allows lightning-fast chord changes across the fretboard.
