About this scale
The Insen scale is an asymmetric Japanese pentatonic that creates very particular atmospheres on guitar. With its b2 and perfect 4th, it enables meditative, contemplative phrases. Joe Satriani and fusion guitarists use it to add exotic color moments to their compositions.
