About this scale

The Dorian mode is the minor scale with a major 6th — the signature sound of jazz and funk. Found in Miles Davis's 'So What', Santana's 'Oye Como Va', and under Jaco Pastorius's fingers. For bass, it is the most versatile minor mode.
